I told my sisters-in-love, Amy and Cissa Newberry, that they were crazy last year when they decided to walk the 3 day. This year they tag-teamed me until I agreed to join them. So in Nov I'm going to walk 60 miles in the Breast Cancer 3 day. Why??? Well, because I have two beautiful daughters. I would love for breast cancer to be cured in their lifetime. This is a problem that I don't want to leave for their generation to solve.
Everyone knows someone whose had breast cancer. When I was 18 my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy and radiation. That was in 1992. Thankfully, she has been healthy ever since. So, I'm walking for all the wonderful girlies in my life, young and not as young. ;o)
