Okay. I need some blogging help. Does anyone know how to change my blog to a cool design -- rather than the limited choices offered by Blogger?
And does anyone know how to put links in a blog entry so that I don't have to post the whole string link thingy but can just put a key word that it will link to?
I'm a slow girl, but I mean well.
Oh! We're headed back to the Creek today. The girls and I will probably be back up here next Tuesday or Wednesday -- not totally sure when. Pa is on his way to Sargent as well. Know what that means? More pix next week!!!
Cross your fingers that we get one of those tagged Redfish. If we do, we win a Boat / Trailer /Truck combo. If Abs wins it, she gets a Scholarship / Boat / Trailer. Stay tuned for news!!!

D'Lyn,
Call me this weekend and I can fix the link thing.
Also, Kate sent me info on how to change the background and I'll send that to you.
To do the link thing, type the word you want to use i.e. CNN in your post, then highlight it. Then click on the icon that looks like a globe with a link on it. It will then prompt you to paste in the URL you want the viewer to go to.
Or. . . I guess I could just post the link. Duh.

And. . . setting a hyperlink to refer to a word or phrase of your choice is also easy.
Word or phrase you choose
Example: I love Wikis
Make sure that you type in the slash before the "a" in the last set of brackets or it will break the tag.
Apparently, my directions were so good, that your blog just took them as gospel.
I am going to break them into instructions so that they can't be "read". I can't use the actual bracket characters, either, so I'm doing what I can to make it as simple as possible.
start with an open bracket (It's a Shift/comma)
Type a href=
type the website in quotes
"http://www.wikipedia.org"
and close the tag (type a close bracket (Shift/period))
Type the word or phrase that you want to use (I love Wikis)
Close the ref tag
(type Open Bracket (Shift/comma)
/a
and Close Bracket (Shift/period))
